Down
Padel in Down.
County Down is Northern Ireland's strongest padel county, with four operational venues across Belfast, Bangor, Carryduff and Newry. The scene is led by the Let's Go Padel chain's three County Down clubs, alongside the long-established Eddie Irvine Padel Centre in Bangor — NI's first indoor padel venue.

The scene
The Let's Go Padel chain carries most of the scene. Carryduff, south of Belfast at Knockbracken Reservoir, is the flagship — nine courts (six covered doubles, two covered singles and a floating outdoor court) on Playtomic, the largest cluster in the county. Let's Go Padel Shorts at Aircraft Park on Belfast's Holywood Road is seven indoor courts on Playtomic — five doubles and two singles — bringing dedicated indoor padel to east Belfast. Further south, Let's Go Padel Newry sits in Greenbank Industrial Estate just inside NI — four indoor courts (two doubles, two singles) that pull cross-border players from Louth and the Republic. Off the chain, the Eddie Irvine Sports Centre in Bangor runs Northern Ireland's original two indoor padel courts, booked direct with the club rather than through Playtomic. The heaviest concentration sits around Belfast and Bangor, with Newry a useful southern outpost for cross-border play.
