Privacy

what we hold.

This is an Article 13 notice for the independent Irish padel guide at playpadel.ie. It is not legal advice. A solicitor should review it before any advertising. We are not a booking platform; court booking happens on Playtomic, MATCHi, or a club site you open yourself.

Controller identity

Published by Jorge Ferreira, a natural person. PlayPadel.ie is not a CRO-registered company and Jorge is not registered as a sole trader, so there is no company name, CRO number, or registered office to publish. No postal address is published. Contact: hello@playpadel.ie, or the form on /contact. If a limited company is later registered, Companies Act 2014 s.151 will require the company name, number and registered office on the site.

Contact channels: hello@playpadel.ie or the form on /contact.

Purposes

  • Answer a message you send via the contact or event-suggest forms.
  • Review a community suggestion you submit.
  • Operate and host the website (security, errors, uptime).
  • Measure traffic with Vercel Analytics / Speed Insights (no accounts).
  • Draw a map of venues or community groups when a map tile key is configured.

Legal bases

  • Forms you submit: your request to be contacted or to suggest a listing (Art. 6(1)(b) or 6(1)(a), depending on the form).
  • Hosting, security logs, and map tiles: operating the site (Art. 6(1)(f)).
  • Analytics scripts: operating and improving the site (Art. 6(1)(f)), subject to the cookie inspect on /cookies.

Types of data

  • Contact / tournament suggest: name, email, message, and any club or event details you type.
  • Community suggest: name, email, listing fields, optional URL, and a Turnstile token.
  • Automatically: IP address, user-agent, pages requested, timestamps (host and CDNs).
  • Level test / plan / progress: stay in your browser or in the share link you copy. We do not run user accounts.

Recipients

  • Vercel — hosts the site. Request IP reaches Vercel.
  • Formspark (submit-form.com, form id YvzuARuFs) — contact and tournament suggestions.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile — spam check on community suggestions when a site key is set.
  • Notification webhook — only if COMMUNITY_SUGGEST_WEBHOOK_URL is configured by the operator. If it is not, the API refuses the suggestion (fail closed).
  • OSM/CDN IP — when a map is drawn, Leaflet requests tiles and your IP address is sent to the map-tile CDN (MapTiler if a key is set; that stack is OpenStreetMap-based). Cookies on that CDN are unknown. If no map key is configured, we do not load tiles and do not send your IP to a tile CDN. Leaflet does not keep that IP on playpadel.ie.
  • Outbound sites you choose to open (Playtomic, MATCHi, club booking pages, Google Maps, VOLA). Those controllers are not us.

Retention

  • Form submissions: until the request is handled, then deleted or kept only as needed to fix a listing.
  • Host logs: the host's default (typically days, not years).
  • Browser-only test/plan codes: until you clear site data.
