Antrim

Padel in Antrim.

Antrim is the densest padel county in Northern Ireland — seven operational venues across Belfast and the county towns, anchored by the Let's Go Padel chain's three clubs and ranging from a four-court dedicated base in Muckamore to a single elevated court on stilts in south Belfast.

The scene

The Let's Go Padel chain runs three of the seven venues. Crumlin Road (Hillview Retail Park, north Belfast) has four indoor courts — two doubles and two singles — bookable on Playtomic; Ballyclare adds four more (two indoor, two outdoor) on the Green Road; and Ballymoney runs a two-court indoor phase-one setup (one doubles, one singles) on Riada Avenue, with further courts planned. Away from the chain, Padel Society at Muckamore Cricket and Lawn Tennis Club is a dedicated four-court padel base — two covered panoramic courts and two outdoor — open to all levels with coaching and kit rental. In south Belfast, Belfast Boat Club opened three courts in January 2025 (two covered, one uncovered) and opens them to non-members on Playtomic, while Windsor Lawn Tennis Club added the world's first elevated padel court on stilts — a single outdoor double, members-only with limited guest access. North of the city near Ballymena, Galgorm Castle has two courts bookable on Playtomic at the Galgorm Parks estate.

  • Let's Go Padel Weavers Cross — Playtomic placeholder.
A note on the numbers. Galgorm Castle: the seed records these two courts as outdoor, but the club's own Playtomic booking system lists both as roofed (covered); the court count of two is confirmed by the Belfast Telegraph and Playtomic. Ballyclare: the club's own location page specifies 2 indoor + 2 outdoor courts, while Playtomic tags all four as indoor — the club-site split (2 indoor, 2 outdoor) is treated as authoritative. County border: Belfast straddles the historic Antrim/Down boundary along the River Lagan. Crumlin Road (BT14) sits on the Antrim side, while the two south Belfast clubs — Belfast Boat Club and Windsor (both BT9) — lie just south of the traditional county line in what is historically County Down; they are grouped here under Antrim to keep Belfast's padel scene on one page.
