Third-shot decisions
Success target: 6 of 10 third shots match the space the returners actually left.
How to run it
- 01Play serve, return, and stop after the serving pair's third shot.
- 02The third-shot player must call their choice before hitting: chiquita (low to the feet), lob, or drive.
- 03The right answer depends on where the returners are standing — say what you saw, then hit it.
- 0410 points, rotate roles.
Why it works
The third shot is where rallies are won before they start — choosing from what you see, not from habit, is court sense in its purest form.
