Drop, bounce, read

Success target: 10 clean reads in a row: caught or cushioned without the ball getting past you.

How to run it

  1. 01Stand two metres from the back glass, facing away from the net.
  2. 02Toss the ball so it bounces then hits the glass, and catch it after the rebound — no racket yet.
  3. 03When catching feels easy, catch it on your racket face and cushion it dead.
  4. 04Finally, let it rebound and hit a gentle lob back towards the net.

Why it works

Fear of the glass is really fear of the rebound's timing — reading it with your hands first removes the panic before the racket gets involved.
